Youth Alive Zambia has finally commenced the implementation of a new project dubbed, ‘Life Unlimited: Children and Youth for a  Productive and HIV and AIDS-Free Generation.’ The project will be implemented in Mpika District of   Muchinga  Province and Solwezi District of the North Western Province for four years commencing March,   2011 to March 2014.   The project is a result of the joint response by YAZ and BftW to a call for proposals to Non State Actors and Local Authorities in Development Actions in partner country, Zambia by the European Union. Youth Alive Zambia (YAZ) is willing to intensify the activities regarding gender based violence. YAZ wants to contribute to the reduction of gender based violence and wants to raise the awareness among youths, parents, teachers and other stakeholders. YAZ is willing to conduct various activities. To plan these efficiently volunteers from Youth Alive Zambia carried out a baseline survey regarding personal experiences of violence in general, gender based violence specifically, their opinions and attitudes, human rights and the understanding of gender roles in the Zambian society.
